The exhaust pipe has always been a necessary component of the internal combustion engine since the creation of the automobile over a hundred years ago. Although the development of engines has progressed rapidly over the years, exhaust design has remained unchanged, or one could even say “Stalled” for nearly 50 years.

The modern turbocharged engines have smaller displacement volumes and higher horsepower with every new model. With emission laws becoming stricter, there is very little room for the development of exhaust design to accommodate the output of modern engines. Stock factory exhaust designs are often restricted by emission laws, noise pollution regulations, and lack of investment in improving exhaust designs by the factory.

Many aftermarket exhaust are designed to produce extremely loud sounds and enhance high-rev performance, but they often lack the necessary exhaust pressure. Resulting in a lack of low-end performance in naturally aspirated and turbo lag in turbo engine cars, which leads to exhaust drone and high fuel consumption in both cases.
