Many people go about modifying the Maserati GT in the wrong way, thinking that just changing the rear muffler will release more sound… That's a big mistake! The stock Maserati rear muffler is already much smoother in design compared to most cars, and what actually suppresses the sound is the 'lunchbox' in front of the factory X-pipe in the midsection, which is meant to increase backpressure for better torque. However, this 'lunchbox' not only fails to boost torque, but it also mutes the sound. Our modification involves removing the lunchbox and installing our AME dual torque rods! This greatly increases low-end torque, accelerates RPM buildup, and releases about 30% more sound. However, the owner of this car wanted the aggressive Ferrari sound... so we had to replace the entire mid and rear sections with a straight-through system. AME dual torque rods + custom X-pipe, with fully straight-through intelligent valved rear mufflers! The result is a perfect, aggressive sound with no drone and significantly enhanced overall performance! This sound may not be for everyone, but for many new Maserati owners, it's the ultimate source of confidence and joy after fulfilling their supercar dreams!
